Shelby Netz is a principal with Baker Tilly’s not-for-profit practice. She specializes in providing tax compliance and consulting services to not-for-profit and for-profit organizations. Areas of specialization include organizations with complex structures, unrelated business income and large investment portfolios.
- Manages tax compliance engagements for not-for-profit and for-profit clients and has considerable experience with healthcare organizations, health plans, educational institutions, business associations, private clubs and other public charities
- Evaluates and consults on federal, state and international tax reporting requirements resulting from alternative investments
- Prepares technical memoranda to support tax positions
- Manages IRS and state tax notices responses
- Provides tax provision services and assists with disclosures and footnotes under ASC 740 and FIN 48
- Presents annually at internal and external tax trainings and webinars
