As a society, we cannot expect real progress unless we confront racism head-on.
Over the years, our firm has taken a deliberate approach to begin to embed diversity, inclusion and belonging into all aspects of our business. But that is not enough, nor are we moving fast enough.
We will use this moment as a catalyst. Our work will continue and be even more focused in order to create positive change for Black people, and all people of color, within our firm, our communities and our profession.
For our team members, we are creating safe spaces for candid and complex conversations to listen to each other and learn from one another. This will inform our actions and shape our organization going forward.
For our profession, we must find a better way to recruit and develop more ethnically diverse talent and increase representation in top leadership.
For our communities, through the involvement of our professionals and the Baker Tilly Foundation, we will seek more ways to support organizations that are proactive in transforming equality, education, civil rights, community and economic development.
We believe in a just and equal society and commit to doing the work toward a better future.
Now, for tomorrow.
