Baker Tilly Director named President of National Association of Municipal Advisors

CHICAGO (Oct. 8, 2019) – The National Association of Municipal Advisors (NAMA), a professional organization for firms and professionals that specialize in providing advice on bond sales and other financial products used by state and local governments, announced Heidi Amspaugh, a director in Baker Tilly’s Municipal Advisory practice, as its next president. The announcement was made at NAMA’s annual conference, held in Chicago October 2-4.

This recognition caps more than 10 years of Amspaugh’s involvement in the organization, which includes such milestones as serving on the board during the rollout and preparation of the Series 50 Municipal Advisor Representative Examination and initiating a variety of new or enhanced communications strategies while serving as communications chair.  She has also served as board secretary, eastern zone director and vice president before being named to the president position.

In her role as President, Amspaugh continues Baker Tilly’s strong tradition of service to the municipal advisory profession. She joins past NAMA presidents Kathleen Aho, Terri Heaton and Colette Irwin-Knott and current board member Tony King in serving the 380 member organization.
