What health plans and healthcare providers need to know

With the objective of allowing patients to have greater access to their health information, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has introduced their Interoperability and Patient Access final rule (CMS-9115-F) that will help break down the barrier of data sharing between health plans and healthcare providers alike. With continued enforcement dates looming throughout 2021 and into 2022, there are many challenges health plans and healthcare providers must overcome to achieve compliance.

Listen to Baker Tilly’s on-demand, informative presentation that discusses the Interoperability and Patient Access final rule (CMS-9115-F). Our team of Value Architects™ discuss:

  • The goals of the Interoperability and Patient Access final rule and why interoperability matters for both health plans and healthcare provider organizations
  • Current policies within the Interoperability and Patient Access final rule, timelines and impacted stakeholders
  • How organizations can “think beyond pure compliance” and unlock the potential benefits of implementing a strategic approach to interoperability
  • Baker Tilly’s perspective on strategies and enablers of a successful interoperability strategy
