The client is an accounting software company with approximately 100 employees that provides services to municipal governments across the country.
The client’s current technology infrastructure and operating model were becoming outdated and needed to be upgraded to become more efficient. They wanted a long-term, sustainable future state technology platform that would serve their clients and needed assistance building a strategy to modernize their applications, data and cloud technologies.
Baker Tilly performed a comprehensive current state assessment to identify existing opportunities and challenges, assess user needs and evaluate compliance and performance. To help the client evolve their operating model, we offered different modernization options to create a more sustainable form and to better meet their future state needs. These options ranged from a ground-up rebuild, hybrid approach, or to refactor their current technology and code base.
