Seneca Nation develops solar array striving for energy independence

Project overview

Seneca Nation through its subsidiary Seneca Energy, LLC, is in the final stages of completing one of the largest Nation owned solar development projects in the U.S.  Seneca Nation has a goal to become more energy self-sufficient while reducing the overall energy costs for its members.  The solar array project, located in the Allegany Territory of Seneca, near Salamanca New York, will produce 2,300,000 kWh of solar energy.  This sustainable source of energy will offer residents a direct savings on their energy bills.

  • Helped negotiate construction contracts
  • Helped with site selection for project
  • Collaborated on creating the Nation utility
  • Developed and secured funding structure
  • Oversaw construction progress
  • Selected utility software to manage operations

Leveraging our team’s comprehensive knowledge in multiple project sectors, a consistent approach was taken to keep the project on track and on budget throughout development.
