Our client’s need
Global manufacturing firm, Johnson Controls Federal Systems (JCFS), needed a partner to assist with their upgrade from Costpoint from SYS Jar 52 to SYS Jar 60. JCFS’ update usually involves testing 49 test cases that take 15 days to accomplish with a coordinated group of manual users; however, they wanted to upgrade faster.
Baker Tilly solution
Baker Tilly was brought in to accelerate JCFS’ testing plan by automating three days’ worth of testing. When executed manually, this testing normally takes 12 hours to execute by a group of manual users. Our team used our custom, automated test solution designed for Costpoint called the Costpoint Testing Accelerator, which we developed using Tricentis Tosca.
Results achieved
Our Costpoint Testing Accelerator and Costpoint knowledge reduced JCFS’ testing time by 97%, decreasing it from 12 hours to only 23 minutes. In addition to speed, JCFS also gained efficiency and comprehensive, detailed reporting.
