Shane Elrod is a tax principal with Baker Tilly.
His primary focus is real estate, private equity and family offices, along with their investments in operating portfolio companies. He is familiar with the entire private equity life cycle, beginning with M&A planning, structuring and due diligence and continuing through to compliance and consulting post acquisition. He routinely advises clients in matters involving built-in-gains and purchased equity to ensure tax deductibility of their investment. When full basis investments are not prudent, Shane also has an extensive knowledge base in ASC740 for corporate portfolio companies.
