Paul DeBoer is a director with Baker Tilly’s forensic, litigation and valuation services practice. He has been involved exclusively in the field of forensic accounting for the past two decades. Paul's background and common-sense approach allows him to help clients navigate complex financial investigations, legal matters and insurance claims.
Paul has experience in the measurement of losses in relation to insurance investigations and has been involved in a variety of litigation matters. He has worked on cases across the United States, including those involving investigative auditing, financial research, damages evaluation and litigation support.
Paul works to provide clarity to his clients and appreciates the importance of providing an independent expert opinion on matters entrusted to him.
- An employee at a scrap metal company perpetrated fraud when he suggested a vendor pay in gold coins and then took some of the coins for himself. We were engaged to quantify the loss to determine the scope of the damage. The employee was subsequently arrested
- After a 30-year-old zookeeper suffered a fatal accident a wrongful death suit was filed. We calculated the lifetime earning potential of the zookeeper
