Kevin Coonan is a principal with Baker Tilly’s digital solutions practice. He primarily focuses on business transformation projects, provider reimbursement business processes and systems, value-based care programs and healthcare analytics. Kevin also has experience helping clients with healthcare legislation including the No Surprises Act and Transparency in Coverage. Prior to joining Baker Tilly, Kevin worked in the consulting practice of a global professional services firm.

  • Assisting health plan clients improve network management functions ranging from provider reimbursement business processes and technology; contract modeling and monitoring capabilities, contract-to-configuration workflow, network analytics for contract negotiations and network design
  • Technology transformation initiatives of all sizes focused on business strategy alignment, business process and technology enablement. Experience with both custom software development and package software implementation
  • Establishing or improving value-based care programs ranging from ACOs to fully delegated capitation programs. Support clients deployment approach, Implementation and/or improvements to business processes, data integrations, reporting, controls, etc. to enable management and operations of these complex programs
  • Supporting payer clients with the No Surprises Act including QPA calculation, management and evaluation of impacts of OON payments to providers
  • Helping payers and providers navigate impacts of Transparency in Coverage including creation and publishing of MRFs as well as use of newly available network rates for reimbursement analysis
