Ahmed is Baker Tilly’s West Coast construction and real estate practice leader. He manages several of our larger audit clients, particularly in the real estate industry. He leads and manages numerous financial statement audits, risk assessments, reviews and compilations for clients in the construction, real estate, title and escrow, hospitality, technology, healthcare, distribution and financial services sectors. Additionally, Ahmed has extensive experience providing management and business advisory services.

  • Significant experience working with real estate investment trusts (REITs), homebuilders, land developers, commercial real estate owners and operators, in addition to asset and property management companies
  • Guides clients through merger and acquisition transactions, transaction structuring, valuations, feasibility studies and control policies reviews
  • Assists publicly held clients in filing registration statements with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and responding to SEC comments
  • Helps clients with filing registration statements, determining fee structure and complying with assets, income tests and regulatory filing requirements
  • Leads consulting projects such as reviews of joint venture agreements, analysis of accounting and cost control systems, preparation of internal control reports and employee benefit plan and employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) consulting
